Italian venture capital firm P101 has integrated PranaVentures, an operational VC specialising in seed-stage investments, to create one of Italy's most comprehensive startup funding platforms. The combined entity now manages more than €600 million in assets across 80+ active portfolio companies.

A Full-Stack VC Platform

The merger gives P101 direct coverage of the earliest funding stages — Pre-Seed and Seed — while retaining its capabilities through later international scale-up rounds. The combined portfolio generated approximately €2 billion in aggregate revenue in 2025 and employed over 5,500 people.

The seed investment strategy will be led by Lisa Di Sevo, Founder of PranaVentures, alongside Guido Giordano, Partner — preserving continuity with the operational model established since 2021. Their approach centres on:

  • Close collaboration with founders
  • Hands-on operational expertise
  • Support across technology, finance, and go-to-market execution

Prana101: The New Fund

Following the integration, P101 has launched fundraising for Prana101, its first fund under the combined platform, with a target of €100 million and a first closing expected by year-end 2025.

Prana101 will back Italian and European technology startups at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages, with a focus on companies building at the intersection of:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Next-generation digital infrastructure
  • Innovative services for businesses and consumers

The AI Tailwind

"AI has fundamentally reshaped the economics of company building, reducing the capital requirements of early-stage startups by up to 70 per cent while increasing execution speed by as much as eightfold." — Lisa Di Sevo, Founder, PranaVentures

Di Sevo argues that in this new environment, speed of decision-making and operational efficiency have become just as critical as capital access — a thesis that shapes Prana101's investment philosophy.

Ambition: €1 Billion AUM

Andrea Di Camillo, Founder and Managing Partner of P101, framed the deal as a structural move to build a more competitive, European-scale VC platform.

"The market increasingly requires stronger, more specialised and better-capitalised platforms capable of competing at a European level." — Andrea Di Camillo, Founder & Managing Partner, P101 SGR

Di Camillo cited an ambition to surpass €1 billion in assets under management over time — a signal that P101 is positioning itself as a durable institutional player in the European venture landscape, not just an Italian one.
