Estel Technologies, a Sofia-based startup targeting the global tech talent industry, has raised €270,000 in pre-seed funding to scale its AI-native sales platform for technology staffing firms.

The round was led by Vitosha Ventures, with participation from Kerem Basak, an Austrian angel investor and founder and CEO of FB Consulting.

The Problem: Fragmented Tools, Stale Data

Tech staffing is a high-volume, time-sensitive business where sales teams are routinely tripped up by the same structural inefficiencies: outdated job listings, duplicate leads, and workflows stitched together across multiple disconnected tools. Recruiters often spend significant time chasing opportunities that have already been filled or were never real to begin with.

Estel was founded to fix this. The company was started by Bogdan Stavrev, Ivo Michorov, and Yusuf Berki, who identified the gap between the intelligence staffing salespeople need and what existing tools actually provide.

What Estel Builds

At the core of the platform is a proprietary Demand Confidence Score — a signal-based mechanism that analyses market activity, verifies whether a hiring need is genuinely active, and ranks opportunities by likelihood of conversion. The system then automatically matches those opportunities to the prospective buyers most likely to close.

Key capabilities include:

  • Demand verification — filtering out stale or duplicate job listings before they reach a salesperson's queue
  • Lead scoring — ranking opportunities based on real-time market signals
  • Buyer matching — connecting verified demand to the right prospects for each individual user
  • Unified workspace — consolidating what was previously handled across multiple separate tools

The pitch is straightforward: less time chasing dead ends, more time selling.

How the Funding Will Be Used

Estel plans to deploy the €270K across three priorities:

  1. Deepening the core technology — specifically the demand verification, scoring, and matching algorithms
  2. Accelerating customer acquisition across key European markets
  3. Progressing toward a seed funding round and a planned US expansion in 2027

Why This Matters for the Market

The global tech staffing market is substantial, and it has historically been slow to adopt purpose-built software — particularly on the sales side. Most players still rely on generic CRMs and manual research, creating a clear opening for vertical AI tools that understand the domain.

Estel is betting that staffing firms will pay for verified demand intelligence rather than building their own. That's a reasonable hypothesis: in a market where speed-to-client matters, a tool that shortens the distance from signal to sale has tangible ROI.

For founders and operators watching this space, Estel represents a broader pattern — vertical AI applied to an unglamorous but high-frequency workflow. The companies winning in this category are those that go narrow and deep, automating the specific decisions that domain experts make repeatedly rather than building generic horizontal automation. Estel's Demand Confidence Score is exactly that kind of proprietary wedge.

With European traction as the near-term goal and the US on the roadmap, the next 12–18 months will test whether the platform's differentiation holds up at scale.
